The Future of LULAC
& Priorities for Advocacy

Euler Torres envisions a LULAC where Unity, Empowerment, and Progress are not just words but the pillars of our advocacy. He sees a future where every Latino in the U.S. has equitable access to education, justice, and economic opportunities, where civil rights are defended, and immigration reform is realized. His vision is of a community where health disparities are addressed and the rights of all Latinos are fiercely protected. He is committed to building coalitions that cross cultural and generational divides. He believes in a future where every member is empowered to lead, advocate and create the impact necessary for our community’s prosperity.  Euler commits to leading LULAC towards this future, ensuring our collective voice is stronger, our rights are secured, and our community thrives. 

 Civil Rights and Justice

  • Combat discrimination and racial profiling in all forms.
  • Promote fair treatment by law enforcement and the justice system.
  • Support voting rights and efforts to increase Latino civic engagement and representation.

 Immigration

  • Advocate for comprehensive immigration reform that provides a path to citizenship.
  • Protect the rights of undocumented immigrants and DACA recipients.
  •  Address the humanitarian needs at the border and ensure fair asylum processes.

 Education

  • Ensure equitable access to quality education for Latino students.
  • Advocate for bilingual education programs and cultural competency training for educators.
  • Support policies that increase Latino representation across all fields.

Economic Empowerment

  • Promote job training and education programs to increase Latino participation in the workforce.
  • Support entrepreneurship and small business growth within the Latino community through access to capital and resources.
  • Advocate for fair labor practices and equal pay for equal work.

Health

  • Ensure access to affordable and comprehensive healthcare for all.
  • Address disparities in health outcomes and access to care for the Latino community.
  • Support mental health initiatives and services tailored to the Latino population.

Latina Rights and Well-being

  • Advocate for policies addressing the unique challenges faced by Latinas, including in healthcare, education, and the workforce.
  • Support initiatives to combat domestic violence and support survivors within the Latino community.
  • Promote leadership and development opportunities for Latinas in all sectors.

 LGBTQ Rights and Well-being

  • Ensure equal rights and protections for LGBTQ Latinos.
  •  Address health disparities and provide support services for LGBTQ members of the Latino community.
  • Promote acceptance and inclusion within Latino families and communities.

Environment

  • Address environmental justice issues affecting Latino communities.
  • Promote access to clean water and air in predominantly Latino areas.
  • Support sustainable energy policies and job creation in renewable energy sectors.
